Crofter Mains Caliente

Caliente is the third short-leg black heifer out of the fullblood cow Volvo Lodge Dun Wunda from the fullblood bull Kenilworth Churchill. In the photo below, taken in November 2005, she is 11 months old. At two years of age, she is just under the lower height range specified in the Dexter guidelines.

Brambledel Redberry Prince Calves

Below are photos (taken in February 2005) of calves out of two of our "G1" (first cross Dexter/Jersey) cows as a result of Artificial Insemination using semen from a red bull, Brambledel Redberry Prince, imported from the UK. The calves are both 75% Dexter.

Del Boy, to the left, is a long-legged steer, 6 months old in the photo. He has excellent body length and is growing well. Lousha, on the right, is a short-leg beefy heifer, also 6 months. Like her mother, she has a white patch around her udder.
