THE CROFTER MAINS NAME

Our Dexter stud name, "Crofter Mains", represents a blending of Heather and John's backgrounds. "Crofter" comes from Heather's Scottish ancestry and her aspirations to lead a rural way of life. "Mains" comes from John's family - the farm he grew up on in Southland was called The Mains, a Scottish term for a group of buildings forming the farm headquarters.
